Technical Description

Technical description is genre used to describe an object in detail. It usually consists of introduction, the outside part of the object, the inside part of the object, how does it work, how to use it, and conclusion. Introduction is some background of the object and someone who produces or invented it. The outside part is the description of the object from outside, how it looks, what dimensions it has, how much does it weight. The inside part describes the parts inside the object. The next part describes how the object works, and how all the parts are connected to each other for object to work. How to use section describes how to use the object properly. And conclusion briefly sums everything up.

Revision of the technical description took some time, and I still did not revise it to perfection. First of all, my words choice was not correct sometimes, so I corrected it. After that there were a lot of running sentences and comma splices, I revised it as well. Then there were citation problems. Because it was the first document with the APA style citations I have ever wrote, I did not use them properly. Several time I have put dot inside the citation and after parentheses where I cited, but it should only go after parenthesis. The biggest revision I made was about citing pictures. Under each picture I originally put square brackets and the number inside it, which is not correct, because in APA you should write Figure and then number. There is a lot still to revise.
