Negotiate your own writing goals and audience expectations regarding conventions of genre, medium, and rhetorical situation.

At the start of each project during this class I had to answer three main questions: what am I writing, to whom am I writing, and why am I writing. Different situations and different audience require different genre, medium and rhetorical situations. At the beginning of the semester, I was not always sure what genre is used for what, but as semester progressed, I became better at this.

For example, for the lab report about bus lanes I have made tables in Excel with times it takes for busses to complete their trip (Figure 1). I believe that it helped my audience to understand the significant difference between busses with bus lanes and without it.
