Design (or media) is how the author presents his project to his audience. It could be done orally as a presentation, or digital as a pdf document on the website, also it could be print or multi-modal (combined designs). Author should select design carefully, because it strongly relates to the audience. For example, if the author will choose the print design and will publish a book, then his audience will be only those who will buy his book.

Personally I like the multi-modal design, because it will allow more people to see the project. Right now if you want people to know about your project, make sure to make a web-cite, an Instagram account, a YouTube channel, write a book and give presentations.

During this class most of the projects were digital. But, the technical proposal was multi-modal, it was both digital and oral. My group pretended to be a company that invented a fast way to detect the wildfires and in the technical proposal we wanted to persuade our audience on using our technology. Because it is a big project with a lot of details, it has to be a text document where everything is explained in details. So we made a digital document. But none will read large document without being convinced that it is worth it, so we made a short oral presentation, where we briefly summarized our paper.
